Why The Sarah A. Reed Children's Center Needs Your Support

Thank you for your interest in making a charitable contribution to the Sarah A. Reed Children's Center. The Children's Center is the oldest human services agency in Northwest Pennsylvania and a registered 501(c)(3) organization, as defined by the Internal Revenue Code.

The Children's Center provides high quality and innovative programs and services that help over 900 children and families monthly. While third party reimbursement provides funding for food, housing, education and therapy, we rely on community support for almost everything else. Donations from the community support research and program development. Additionally, your contribution provides funding for clothing, recreational materials and outings, and toys for our children. The Board of Directors, the staff and especially the children we serve, thank you for your generous support.

There are several different ways you can help the Sarah A. Reed Children's Center help families and children. You might:

Support Our Annual Appeal: Every donation goes directly to fund non-reimbursed expenses with our premiere care, counseling and education programs.

United Way Contributor Choice Program: To make a contribution to the Sarah A. Reed Children's Center through the United Way, please note the Sarah A. Reed Children's Center as your contribution choice.

Corporate Matching Gifts: Many corporations and businesses match gifts to charitable organizations made by the employees, spouses and retirees. Contact your company's human resources office to learn more about a matching donation to the Sarah A. Reed Children's Center.

Planned Giving: Take advantage of the significant financial and tax benefits of a planned gift in the form of: Bequests, Gifts of IRAs or Life Insurance Policies, Appreciated Securities and other life income resources to the Children's Center.
